Friends Fall Gathering with Laurie Hertzel, Nov 6

Save the date! The Friends of St. Catherine University Libraries Fall Gathering will be on November 6, 2014 from 6:30-8:00 p.m.

This year's event features Laurie Hertzel, the Senior Editor/Books from the Star Tribune, whose presentation is titled "In Praise of Libraries," (so you know it's going to be good). There will also be plenty of time for questions.

Monday, April 16: Jonathan Odell hosted by Friends of the Libraries

This Monday, April 16th, author Jonathan Odell (A View from Delphi and The Healing) will be the special guest at the Friends of the St. Catherine University Libraries annual thank-you event. The evening, hosted by the Friends and the Nursing Department, will feature a reading from The Healing and Q & A by Odell.

Books will be for sale at the event and there will be an author signing. Light refreshments provided.

Friends of the Libraries present Cathy Wurzer

Take a road trip with featured speaker, Cathy Wurzer, author of Tales of the Road: Highway 61, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 1 in Coeur de Catherine, Rauenhorst Ballroom. This is the annual fundraising event of the Friends of the Libraries.

Wurzer thrives on politics and horses. She gets excited at the thought of the Legislature going in to session every January. Wurzer also is Minnesota Public Radio's (MPR) Morning Edition host and Twin Cities Public Television's (tpt) Almanac co-host. She resides in Minneapolis.

Schedule
Social: 6 to 6:30 p.m.
Program: 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Event is free and open to the public. Wuzer's autographed book and DVD will be available for purchase.
