Homelessness, health equity, & public libraries

Amy Mars, our Outreach & Reference Librarian, also works part-time at Hennepin County Libraries (HCL), and her most recent work at HCL centered around a grant they received to help support community members who are experiencing housing insecurity.

As part of her work on this grant, Amy helped train staff on how to work with those experiencing housing insecurity, partnered with outside organizations to provide community programming, and helped boost awareness of the issue of homelessness and how it impacts the community.
