Write-N-Cite 4 Update Available

RefWorks released Write-N-Cite 4, the newest version of Write-N-Cite, in June 2012. Many of us experienced delays in syncing, and a new update is now available to significantly speed up this download time. WNC 4 users who already have it installed do not need to uninstall a previous version -- just rerun the download from the RefWorks Web site.

To download and update WNC-4, log into your RefWorks account and go to: Tools → Write-N-Cite, then click the green Download Now button.

NOTE: If you are upgrading from WCN 3 to version 4, you WILL NEED to uninstall version 3 prior to installing version 4. WNC 3 will be available until the end of 2013.


Write-N-Cite allows you to write your paper in MS Word, inserting in-text citations and generating a formatted list of references. It is available for Windows and Mac platforms:

• MS XP, Vista and Windows 7 compatibility; Support for Word 2007
• 2010 Mac OS X 10.5-10.7 compatibile; Support for Word 2008 and 2011
